City and Guilds 6189 Level 2 Diplomas in Plumbing and Domestic Heating
This C&G 6189 Plumbing qualification forms the basis of knowledge for all modern domestic plumbing and is the starting point for anyone looking for a career in plumbing.
PTC courses take a blended learning approach to our student’s development. This is a mix of theory that students do at home in their own time and practical hands-on training that student’s do at our City and Guilds approved Centre. Our courses run every 4 weeks and we provide all self-study material, tools and equipment for the duration of the course.

| Understand and carry out site preparation, and pipework fabrication techniques for domestic plumbing and heating systems. (10 credits) |

| Understand and apply domestic hot water system installation and maintenance techniques (08 credits) |
| Understand and apply domestic central heating system installation and maintenance techniques (10 credits) |

Programme Content: (6189-11) total of 76 credits. All units below are mandatory.

There will be some self-study. This will be in the form of open learning materiel, text books plus studying water and building regulations.
